network-audio-streamer.com exists to document and allow easy comparison of 'Network Audio Streamers', a new product type designed to simplify playback of high quality digital audio via a Hi-Fi setup.

'Streamers' give access to internet streaming services such as Spotify, TIDAL and Airplay whilst also integrating locally stored sources like USB, Roon, UPnP, SMB. etc. An Android/iOS app and/or an LCD screen is used for easy integrated access to a music collection. A 'DAC' (Digital to Analog Converter) converts the digital audio input into an analog signal suitable for an Amp. The DAC is vital in determining the quality of audio and is the key component in a Network Audio Streamer. 'Hi-Fi Amps' and 'Headphone Amps' can be integrated into Network Media Streamers to allow direct connection to headphones or speakers, bypassing the need for a seperate amp.
